We are pleased to announce the headliners on the First Northern Europe Lover’s Rock & Gospel Cruise in July 2027 exclusively aboard Ambassador Cruises’ flagship of the fleet and first lady of the sea - Ambience.
For Lover’s Rock we will be graced with the two Queens of Lover’s Rock - Janet Kay MBE and Carroll Thompson together with the silky sound of G-Diamondz.
Janet Kay - renowned for original Lover’s Rock tracks such as ‘Silly Games’, and is the first Black female to have a No1 on the UK charts. Janet Kay’s musical career has taken her around the world and sang with various well-known artists. Janet is also an actor and songwriter and creative. Carroll Thompson - the other Queen of Lover’s Rock is the voice behind hits such as ‘Hopelessly in Love and ‘I’m So Sorry’. Carol has worked alongside major artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and is the co-founder of Colourtelly, the first black interest internet station. Geneta ‘G-Diamondz’ - the latest artist who is taking the social media by storm singing Lover’s Rock but has a background in gospel. Her voice has been described as ‘sweet like condensed milk’. G-Diamondz runs a monthly Lover’s Rock Workshop in East London and is the present host of the Reggae night at The Troy Bar in Hoxton. Gospel music will be presented by four top professionals in the industry.
Becky Thomas - a well-known Senior Choir Director at London Community Gospel Choir, Singer-songwriter and arranger. Becky has graced major venues and cruise ships and also worked alongside major artists with her Choir directing, singing and arrangements. Becky also runs a few community choirs in London and will be heading the Gospel Workshop. Visit
Annette Bowen - ‘The Duchess’ - an in-demand vocalist who has worked alongside Bazil Meade of London Community Gospel Choir, Bebe Winans, Donald Lawrence and other artists such as Madonna in the USA and the UK. Annie has an amazing stage presence and voice. Visit
Jenny La Touche - an adaptable gospel singer with a touch of ‘Lover’s Rock’. Jenny has sung with the London Community Gospel Choir for over 40 years and has evolved to become an outstanding choir leader running school choirs through to choirs for the disabled and elderly.

Kiing - with an immediately noticeable, rich and resonant tone, MOBO Award Nominee, Kiing’s background is gospel which gives him the unique, electric and soothing vocals. He has worked with major artists including recording and live performances. Like all the artists on the cruise, he is highly in demand. Kiing remains firmly in his Gospel roots and we look forward to experiencing his talent onboard the ship in this cruise.
